OH! And I almost forgot...

We are playing a sort of last minute deal at Cave9 on Friday night. Make it your business to be there. The details are as follows:

Friday August 17th
Commando (rockin' punk from Quebec!)
Legion (the mighty, mighty Legion, now featuring Walker on bass!)
EMOTHT (stinkin' it up like no one's business.)
@ Cave9
7pm $5 All Ages.
DO IT.

Our demo has been unleashed onto a probably completely apathetic world. Huzzah. huzzah. huzzah.

The release party was a decent time, though. Katie Crutchfield (of the Ackleys) released her solo debut EP also, under her solo moniker, King Everything. Her record is called The Drought, and if you're into sweet voices, fantastic songs, and most things acoustic, then you should seek her out on myspace. She opened the night up right. Following her were two reasonably amazing late-90's era screamo bands, known as Corrosive Melody and Bear Garden, respectively. They got fucked out of a show across town, and Cave9 came to the rescue! (Seriously, you have no idea how good of a dude Aaron is.) Social Treason then played their brand of 80's style thrash, and very loudly so. For that, we thank everyone involved in the show.

Keith Eggleston, of Trent's other band, Now I Have A Machine Gun, has become a bit of a photographer. If you'd like to see his pictures from the release party, and the horrors of Trent beardless, then click this link, which is a facebook album. There are some of the better shots dispersed throughout this post.

...holding in contempt all of it's works...

Time for another post. Like you care.

Next week, we're releasing a demo. It's pretty tight. It's four songs, the first four we wrote, in fact. The art has been done by a fantastic fellow named Chris ...somethingorother... from Ohio. He's also printing it and making 50 CD-Rs and 50 cassettes for us. Dude's a serious sweetheart, and having re-read that phrase, it sounds a little ingenuous, but I assure you - the man that offers to put out my band's demo for me, gets a hug. He's one of the good guys left in the hardcore community.

But! having a demo, means having a release party! So, here's the damn details:

Saturday August 11th:
us. duh.
with:
Social Treason, King Everything, Social Neglect and Wildcat Revival.
It's at Cave9, starts around 7pm, and costs $5. We may do a package deal at the door for the demo, we may not. That will be announced later. Either way, get that night off work, get your dancing shoes shined, and get awesome. Or don't, your call.
